  • Festive Coffee Morning

    Mon 12 Dec 2016
This morning we held our annual festive coffee morning as a huge thank you to all those who help and support the children in school throughout the year. There was a selection of parents/carers, governors, staff and friends of the school enjoying a cup of tea, a mince pie and a catch up. There was a lovely atmosphere and community spirit. We wish to extend our thanks to anyone who was unable to attend, who continue to support the school. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. x
  • Choir singing around the Christmas Tree

    Fri 09 Dec 2016
After school on Friday, the choir walked into Hinckley town centre to sing around the Christmas tree at the market place. The children were joined by representatives from the community of Hinckley churches for a carol service. We all joined in with a selection of carols and the choir performed a beautiful rendition of Silent Night. Lots of parents/carers, family and friends were able to come along and join in the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Thank you to everyone who took part and well done children for your excellent behaviour, which was recognised by members of the congregation.
  • Bauble Decorating

    Fri 09 Dec 2016
Year 1 and Year 2 had a fun session decorating their own bauble for their Christmas tree. Louise showed the children how to carefully decorate their bauble using acrylic paints. Some of the creative designs included snowmen, snowflakes, stars and robins. The children all took great pride in their work and the results were delightful. We hope you appreciate how beautiful they will look on your Christmas trees at home.
  • A Miracle in Town- Reception Play

    Fri 09 Dec 2016

Well done to all the Reception pupils for a fabulous Christmas Play!

We hope you all enjoyed seeing how confident and well behaved your children have been. The pupils worked hard to learn all the words for the songs and performed to the best of their ability.

The play has supported pupils in their learning across the curriculum areas and helped bring the Nativity story to life!

Thank you for the positive comments we have received, if you would like to give feedback about the play you can always leave your thoughts on Guestbook.

Well done to everyone, we are really proud of you!

Mrs Wood, Miss Ellis, Miss Hamilton and all the EYFS team.

  • KS1 Christmas Performance

    Wed 07 Dec 2016

This year's Christmas performance for Year 1 and 2 was called 'Silent Night' and it was the story of how the well-known carol was created by Father Joseph Mohr. The Year 1 children all had their own dances which were brilliant. The Year 2 children formed the main cast with many speaking parts. Everyone played their role with enthusiasm and the singing was uplifting and put us all into the spirit of Christmas. Thank you to Cath Williams for playing the piano. We really couldn't have done it without her! The costumes were amazing, as always and thank you to Mrs Woodley for making them. While rehearsing the play, the children developed their reading and speaking and listening skills to learn their parts. During PE, children learnt simple dance routines to be incorporated into their Christmas dance whilst the singing enhanced our Music curriculum.

A huge thank you to Mrs Babic for organising the sale of tickets. It all went really smoothly.

We all had lots of fun creating this year's Christmas production and we are sure you will all agree that it was well worth the effort.

  • Year 1 Moon Zoom Homework Event

    Wed 07 Dec 2016

The children in Year 1 were asked to create a 'Space Rocket' as part of their homework and the results were out of this world!

It was clear how much effort and time the children put into their 'Space Rockets' so we thought it was only right to share them all with parents and carers. Thank you to those who managed to find time to come into their child's classroom to have a look at all the fantastic work. If you weren't able to come in today then please feel free to come in on Thursday or Friday after school to have a look.

Please have a look through the photos!
