• Problem Solving Workshops

  Year 1 and 2 pupils had a  really fun day today at  their problem solving workshops. First they learnt the importance of working together and how to listen and talk to each other. Then they were set 3 challenges that involved teamwork to build a tangram, a cube and a square out of coloured blocks. All the children enjoyed the sessions and the behaviour was excellent with everyone remembering the Golden Rules. So remember children the next time you are stuck with your work, think about how you can persevere to solve the problem or work with others to help you.

  

• Class 3 Assembly

  Wow what a fantastic Dinosaur assembly from Class 3!

   

  The children showed us their amazing art work, they told us lots of facts about dinosaurs, they acted out a story and even sang us a song!

   

  The children have been learning about dinosaurs in EYFS and were so excited to share it with everyone.

  Can you tell your adults at home what your favorite dinosaur is?

  Can you tell them what they liked to eat?

   

  Well done Class 3, a fantastic first class assembly. The grown-ups were very impressed!

   

  

• Beaver Assembly

  Today we had a visitor for assembly was from the 1st Hinckley Beaver Scouts. He told us about the fun, friendship and adventure that children in Year 1 and 2 can enjoy. Look out for the information in your child's book bag this evening for more details. 

  The 1st Hinckley Beaver Scouts meet on a Tuesday and they are currently able to offer places to new members.

  

• EYFS Chinese New Year Family Learning Afternoon

  Thank you to all Parents/Carers who joined us for our Chinese New Year celebrations. 

  We all had fun making lanterns, cards, masks and learning how to write letters and numbers.

• Class 1 Assembly

  Well done Class 1 for a super class assembly!

  Class 1 shared all their learning about 2D shapes. We have been using shapes in the classroom and even in P.E. Next week we will be learning about 3D shapes!

• Mad Science

  This morning we had a special visitor to our assembly. He is a Mad Scientist and he showed us some very exciting and interesting experiments. Year 1 and Year 2 pupils were very interested. Why not ask your children if they can remember the experiments that the Mad Scientist did?

• WISA New Year Disco

  After only two days back at school the children had the opportunity to attend an after school Disco! It gave everyone the chance to wear all the lovely clothes they had for Christmas and we saw some very exciting flashing outfits and even shoes that flashed. This all made it a very colourful disco dancing display!

  B.J. the D.J. provided another great disco for us. Also a big thank you to Mrs Deeming for once again sorting out the drinks and biscuits we enjoyed before the Disco started.
