• Year 1 Christmas Dinner

  We had a fantastic time celebrating today with a tasty Christmas dinner. The children enjoyed the food prepared and cooked by the very talented kitchen staff and shared their Christmas plans and Santa lists with friends and teachers!

   

  Great behaviour, Year 1. Well done!

   

  Thank you to the kitchen staff for all their hard work too - it is very much appreciated!

• Year 2 Christmas Party

  This afternoon, Year 2 had their exciting Christmas party!

   

  We played some party games like pass the parcel and musical statues. Afterwards we enjoyed some Christmas singing before having a surprise visit from Santa! He was very jolly and kindly gave out class presents. Santa reminded us to make sure we are following the Golden Rules, at home and at school so he can bring us presents on Christmas day! 

   

  After all the excitement of meeting Santa, we went back to our classrooms and enjoyed a tasty treat with all our class friends. 

   

  Well done children, great behaviour during the afternoon!

• The Nativity - EYFS

  EYFS really enjoyed creating their Nativity Story. Remember you can see their Nativity stories on their tapestry accounts, they sang beautifully and looked amazing in their costumes.

  Theatre Trip to the Curve to see

  The Smeds and The Smoos

  Today we went on a coach to Leicester to the Curve theatre to see an adaption of Julia Donaldson’s The Smeds and the Smoos.

  It was a fantastic performance and we enjoyed joining in by pretending to swim and dance.

   

  There were lots of great songs and we also liked how the props turned into different things during the performance.

  Some children said what they liked about the show:

  ‘I liked being squirted by the water’

  ‘I liked jumping up and down and clapping to the beat’

  ‘I liked the end because we got to sing in the song.’

  ‘I liked it when they got trapped in the slime’

  ‘I liked the bit when they were going to find Bill and Janet at the different planets’.
