  • Boundary Farm Spring Visit

    Mon 28 Mar 2022

We have had a fantastic sunny visit to Boundary Farm today! We were lucky enough to meet a calf that was only 5 days old! We saw how quickly calves grow between 5 days, 7 weeks, 4 months then we saw 2 year old full size cows who were carrying their babies!

We learn what the cows eat and found out about grass silage and maize silage and how it is made (it smelt very strongly!)

We visited the milking parlour and learn how the cows are milked. We also got to see a robotic milker in action!

We are very grateful to Farmer Richard and Farmer Rachael for taking the time to show us round and we look forward to sharing our photos and learning with everyone in assembly on Monday next week.

  • World Book Day 2022

    Thu 03 Mar 2022

Today everyone at Westfield Infant School have been celebrating World Book Day. There has been lots of learning and fun in school today with everyone dressed as their favourite book characters.

We have all had such a wonderful day celebrating authors, Illustrators, books and of course readers!

We started the day with Class 2's assembly which was all about the book 'Mama Panya's pancakes'.

We talked about how important it is to 'share a story'. Even if it is just for a few minutes, sharing a story is such a special thing to do with someone.

Who will your share your next story with?

Thank you to all the grown ups for your support with this day.
