  • Assembly - 19 December

    Fri 19 Dec 2014

What a busy assembly this morning for our end of term.  We celebrated all 6 & 7 birthdays up until 31 December.  The children who attended science club received their certificates.  Children brought in medals that they had been awarded out of school.  Each class teacher had the difficult job of choosing one design from the 'design a jumper competition'.  The WISA raffle was drawn and we sang some lovely festive songs to celebrate Christmas.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

A lot of the children live at the schools in India and they do not have a lot of exciting things to play with or a television to watch so they spend time dancing. The children were very happy to show Mrs Guest and Miss Hamilton how to dance!
  • Reception Christmas Party

    Thu 18 Dec 2014

Reception pupils had a wonderful time at their Christmas Party. All the children played some traditional party games in the hall to start. These including pass the parcel, stations, musical bumps and musical statues.

We had a very special visitor - SANTA!  We sang some songs to him and he gave each class a very large present! Back in the classrooms we had our party food. Thank you for all generous donations of food and drink. Santa visited each class with his special messages and the children had lovely manners thanking him and wishing him a very Merry Christmas.

Another brilliant day at school. We were delighted to be able to to train the teachers on how to use Education City and present them with 2 laptops. They think it will be a very useful learning tool.

The children at the crèche really enjoyed the instruments, crayons and balloons but their favourite was seeing themselves in the iPad :)

  • Year 2 Theatre Trip

    Thu 18 Dec 2014
Today the children went to The Curve theatre in Leicester and thoroughly enjoyed the 'Pinocchio' performance.  It was full of dance, songs, mime, acting, acrobatics, puppetry, humour and live music.  What instruments do you remember the actors playing?  Remember the actors encouraged us to write our own story with a beginning, middle and end.  Maybe you will have some time over the holiday.  You could always bring it in to your teacher to share.
