  • Year 1 End of Year Assembly

    Fri 09 Jul 2021

Today, we had our final assembly of Year 1, and what a year it has been!

We've seen school closures, remote learning and a new way of doing Sports Day! Through it all, we've shown superb resilience, perseverance and a developing ability to solve problems quickly - and that is true for both children and adults! Well done!

We had a few goodbyes to say too.

Mrs Singleton is hanging up her Westfield t-shirt after 20 years of commitment to the staff and children. Not only has she been a valued classroom-based adult, supporting countless children with their reading, mathematics and writing, she has also been instrumental in our continued push to be an eco-friendly school. Thank you Mrs Singleton, enjoy your retirement! We're so pleased you have said you'll be back to listen to readers next year!

Mrs Mottershaw will be taking maternity leave next year, as she is soon to become a mummy for the first time. Thank you Mrs Mottershaw for all your hard work! You will be missed for the year and we all wish you well with the arrival of your baby.

From all the staff in Year 1, we simply say "Well Done, and Thank you!" to all the children for working so hard and achieving so much. Your attitude and effort has been brilliant! Enjoy a well-deserved summer break! Stay safe, listen to the adults and enjoy a bit of sun (hopefully!)

  • Year 2 end of year party

    Thu 08 Jul 2021

This afternoon all of the year 2 children had a party in the hall to celebrate the end of their time at Westfield Infant School.

We took part in different team games, had fun dancing to music and playing party games like musical statues.

We ended the afternoon with a cold treat to cool us off.

A huge well done to all the year 2 children for behaving so well and also for all their hard work during their time here. We are so proud of you and everything you have achieved.
