  • Festive Treat - Film Afternoon

    What a treat to end the term! Our hall was turned into the 'Westfield Cinema' for a special viewing of Despicable Me 3.

     

    The children sat beautifully and enjoyed themselves - the giggles could be heard throughout the school!

  • End of Term Assembly

    What a busy assembly this morning!  Lots of singing, prizes given out for the winners of the design a Christmas jumper competition, the WISA Christmas raffle was drawn and we said thank you and goodbye to Mrs Virk.

  • Year 2 Christmas Theatre Trip

    This afternoon, all Year 2 children and a small group from Year 1 visited The Curve theatre in Leicester to watch a fantastic performance of George's Marvellous Medicine. The cast did an incredible job of acting out the famous Roald Dahl book and put in some added extras, including audience participation to warm the medicine and decide what should and shouldn't go into the pot! The children had a lovely time. Excellent behaviour too, well done!

  • Reception Christmas Party

    What a fantastic party Reception have had this afternoon! We started off in the hall where we danced and played party games including musical statues and pass the parcel.

    Santa then joined us and we sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, When Santa got stuck up the Chimney and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

    Santa then gave each class a present and we went back to our classrooms for a tasty treat!

     

    Well done to all the children for their fantastic behaviour throughout the afternoon; Santa was very impressed and the adults were very proud.

  • Festive Coffee Morning

    This morning we held our annual festive coffee morning as a huge thank you to all those who help and support the children in school throughout the year.

    There was a selection of parents/carers, governors, staff and friends of the school enjoying a cup of tea, a mince pie and a catch up.

    There was a lovely atmosphere and community spirit.

     

    We wish to extend our thanks to anyone who was unable to attend, who continue to support the school.

     

    Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. x

  • Festive Sweater Day

    'Wear your sweater to make the world better!'

     

    Thank you to everyone who came in their festive jumpers today! You all arrived with smiles on your faces and enjoyed showing off your jumpers to your friends!

     

    Thank you also for your kind donations we have raised more than £240 for the Save the Children charity!

     

    Well Done Everyone!

  • Reception Christmas Dinner

    We had a fantastic lunch today in our classrooms. Everyone enjoyed the Christmas Dinner. We ate with our friends and sang along to Christmas songs. Everyone ate their dinner with fantastic manners.

    Thank you to the Kitchen Staff for cooking us a wonderful meal.

  • Christmas 'Sing Along' with Kev and Dan

    We have had a fabulous afternoon at our Christmas Sing along with Kev and Dan today. Lots of our grown ups joined us in the hall to sing some of our favourite Christmas songs. After the sing along our visitors were able to stay for a festive cake and drink.

    During our sing along we said a big thank you to the Catering Staff for the lovely Christmas dinner we had today We presented them with some flowers and gave them a big clap. At least they could listen to us singing whilst they were doing the washing up!

  • Christmas Dinner - Year 1

    Today the Year 1 children enjoyed a lovely Christmas Dinner cooked by the fantastic Catering Staff. We had Turkey, vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing balls and not forgetting the very tasty 'pigs in blankets'.

    The children sat with their friends and ate in their classrooms which made it all the more special. 

    For pudding they had Christmas Star biscuits covered in chocolate! It was all very tasty. Please have a look at the photos below...

     

  • Christmas Dinner - Year 2

    Today the Years 2's joined together to have our delicious Christmas Dinner.

     

    We all had good manners and made lovely festive conversation whilst we ate!

     

    We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and ate very well!

     

    Children - Can you remember what food was on your plate? Which did you enjoy most?

     

    Thank you from all in Year 2 to the catering staff for a wonderful lunch.
