• Santa visits Year 1!

  This afternoon, we had a fantastic treat in Year 1 - Santa visited!

   

  He told us all about the reindeer and his love of mince pies!

   

  Can you remember what his reindeer like to eat?

   

  Santa loved hearing about many of the things we would like for Christmas this year too. Sadly, we couldn't sing to Santa, but we gave him a huge 'Merry Christmas' as he left. 

   

  When we got back to the classroom, to our surprise, he had left us some gifts to open early. Santa was so generous with the presents and we cannot wait to have a play with them tomorrow!

• Christmas Jumper and Dinner Day!

  Today we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day at Westfield Infant School (a big thank you to all parents who have contributed to the Save the Children campaign).  We also all enjoyed a delicious Christmas Dinner, cooked beautifully, as always, by our amazing kitchen staff!  Thank you!

  

• Year 2 Christmas Party

  This afternoon, Year 2 had their exciting Christmas party!

   

  We played some party games like pass the parcel and musical statues. Afterwards we enjoyed showing each class the Christmas dance we have been learning in PE this half term before having a surprise visit from Santa! He was very jolly and kindly gave out class presents. Santa reminded us to make sure we are following the Golden Rules, at home and at school so he can bring us presents on Christmas day! He also told us an important message about Christmas Eve. 

   

  Can you remember what the important message was? 

   

  He told us to be in bed and asleep at a sensible time on Christmas Eve as he is very busy visiting all the houses around the world!

   

  After all the excitement of meeting Santa, we went back to our classrooms and enjoyed a tasty treat with all our class friends. 

   

  Well done children, great behaviour during the afternoon!

• Class 8 Music Makers

  Today some pupils from Class 8, who have been coming to Music Makers on a Thursday after school, performed for classes 8,9 and 10 in assembly.  

   

  Music Makers Club has been great fun.  We started the 6 week sessions by looking at all the ways we could use 'junk' to make sounds.  (We also listened and watched some professionals playing Stomp to give us some ideas).  We looked at how we could use our instruments to accompany a song and then spent time practicing how to use our instruments to play along with the beat of a song.  

   

  Everyone had lots of fun and the audience gave Music Makers Club a huge round of applause!  Well done Music Makers!

• WISA Raffle

  This morning the WISA raffle was drawn.  Congratulations to the 42 winners!  If you have won, you will have been notified by text.  All winners are displayed on the A-frame outside reception.
