  • Class 4 Assembly - Bonfire Night

    Fri 06 Nov 2015

Class 4's assembly told us all about why we have Bonfire Night.

Remember, remember the fifth of November

    Gunpowder, treason and plot

    I see no reason

    Why gunpowder treason

    Should ever be forgot!

After telling us all about King James and Guy Fawkes we heard some amazing firework facts and most importantly some facts about how to stay safe!

They finished with a song about fireworks.

What a fantastic assembly Class 4!

  • Year 2 Community Walk

    Wed 04 Nov 2015

Year 2 children have begun their new topic, 'Street Detectives'.

As part of this, the children went on a community walk around the local area.

Children were encouraged to think about:

    • how the land has been used
    • what type of buildings and street furniture they can see around them

The children had previously created a map of the area, using a key to identify land use and they were able to use this on the walk.

We took photos of some of the things we saw in the local area.

You could look at the local area around you, spotting how the land has been used. Are there lots of houses or shops? Are there any gardens, parks or green spaces?
