  • Year 1 Dinosaur Day

    Tue 10 Mar 2015

Today the children in Year 1 were visited by Darren and his pet dinosaur, Sophie. Darren told us lots of interesting facts about dinosaurs and showed us some fossils. Can you remember how dinosaur fossils were made?

We saw another dinosaur that Darren brought in called Herbie who was a herbivore. Can you remember what kind of dinosaur he was?

After finding out lots of new information, we went outside on the playground to meet Sophie. She was a 7 year old Tyrannosaurus Rex. We all had a group photo with her and some of us got to stroke her chin!

    Sun 08 Mar 2015

What a wonderful result from the WISA Fashion Show! Many thanks to everyone who helped to make the evening such a success. A special big thank you to the models who did a great job at making all the clothes look very tempting to buy and in some cases added entertainment value to the evening!

The total raised for WISA was £762.70 which will make a fantastic difference to the WISA funds.

The next WISA meeting will take place on:

    Tuesday 24 March at 2.00 p.m.

We will be reviewing the events so far this year and making plans for the Westfield Summer Fayre.

  • St Margaret's Primary School children visit Year 1

    Fri 06 Mar 2015

Today, the Year 1 children from St Margaret's Primary School in Stoke Golding visited the Year 1 children here at Westfield Infant School. The children enjoyed a picnic lunch to prepare for a very busy and enjoyable afternoon of activities. St Margaret's children were given a special tour of the school by the Year 1 children and had great fun exploring the grounds, including the Sensory Garden, EYFS classrooms and even sneaked into Class 9 to see the Year 2 children working so hard! As well as this, all children decorated a biscuit and had a play on the patio, using our Year 1 sports equipment. At the end of the day, children enjoyed a drink and their decorated biscuit. All the children had a fantastic time and made new friends! We cannot wait to visit St Margaret's Primary later in the year!
