Year 2 Visit to Tamworth Castle
The Year 2 pupils had a great day at Tamworth Castle. They roleplayed being servants and setting the table for the Lord and Lady Ferres. Also they all took part in an armoury drill with their own bills. A real highlight of the day was going into the dungeons and climbing up the steep stairs to the top of the tower. The children commented on what a good look out the tower would have been because they could see the enemy approaching.
The children were all very well behaved, it was a pleasure to take them. What a great day! Only a short half an hour journey away, well worth a visit as a family.
