We are proud of our successfully embedded partnership with St Mathias High School in Pondicherry, India and the impact this has had on all pupils.

Since 2013 Connecting Classrooms funding has enabled the Headteacher, five teachers and a Community Governor to visit India and reciprocal visits from the Headteacher and a teacher from Pondicherry.

The learning experience and benefits of the three visits to date have been valuably shared with schools within our local community.

We continue to have strong links with St Mathias School, having supported them financially to improve teaching, learning and domestic facilities for the children who live and learn there. This lasting legacy and communication between our schools has opened up the opportunities of further sponsorship of primary pupils at Loyola School in Tamil Nadu. This link was forged during one of our visits and is maintained through our contact with Father Dominic who has made annual visits to Westfield Infant School.

Information from Sister Rose with a break down of all the contributions Westfield Infant School has made to the school.
