What an incredible treat we had today... After a very long and entertaining coach journey, we safely arrived at the Roald Dahl Museum. We were greeted by Ashleigh, Trish and Amy who were our Roald Dahl experts for the day.
All children were immediately wowed by the engaging artwork, 3D models and resources surrounding them. Every adult was amazed by the responses the children gave to some very challenging questions. Well done children Roald Dahl would be very proud of your knowledge about himself and the stories he wrote. We then split into two groups to explore the discovery centre and Roald Dahl gallery. The children had the opportunity to role play a section of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and loved seeing the foreboding door to Miss Truchballs 'chokey'. A lot of fun was had travelling in the Great Glass Elevator too.
Following a very special lunch the children were set the task of designing a square for a class quilt to encourage Charlie's grandparents to get out of bed. The final product was outstanding as was the trip and behaviour. A massive thank you to Mrs MacLauchlan, Mrs Bailey, Miss Manwaring, Mrs Huddlestone and Mrs Clarke
