Year 2 Burbage Common Activity Day
Year 2 pupils and their grown-ups had an exciting, action-packed day at Burbage Common. After some warm up parachute games and den building we split into three groups. Each group got the opportunity to spend time with Sarah from Dogs Trust and Lyra her dog. Pupils had a quiz linked to caring for dogs and they learnt the importance of staying safe around dogs. Can you remember what to do if a dog approaches you?
Other activities included orienteering and bush craft skills which were put to use when printing leaves and flowers onto fabric. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed making ash bread and baking it over the camp fire. Can you remember what additional ingredients you added to your ash bread?
We had a fantastic time. Well done to all pupils for excellent behaviour.
