Year 1 Star Dome Trip

Today Year 1 Pupils had a very exciting day. It was the start of the new Moon Zoom topic! Pupils started completing work for this section of their Wow Work folder. Even more exciting Year 1 Pupils had the opportunity during the day to visit the Star Dome from the National Space Centre. During this visit pupils learnt all about the different planets. They listened to a story about the Moon and the Sun and why we have night and day. Pupils also learnt simple different star constellations.

To top of the day pupils had a picnic packed lunch in the Tipi!

A big ‘thank you’ to St. John’s Church for hosting the Star Dome as it was too big to fit in the school hall!
