Welcome Back Assembly
During our assembly this morning we welcomed two new members of teaching staff Mrs Saunders and Miss Stevenson. We also welcomed some new Year 1 and 2 pupils. We hope you will all be very happy at Westfield Infant School. Over the next few weeks we are looking forward to welcoming 98 new Reception pupils!
The children have been sharing their holiday experiences and Mrs MacLauchlan showed us some souvenirs from her trip to Canada.
Mrs MacLauchlan also told us the fantastic news that Gowri has achieved the highest marks ever awarded at St Mathias School. We are all very proud of Gowri! The other exciting news is that during September Sister Rose and Miss Sugumaran from St Mathias Higher Secondary School are going to be visiting Hinckley and will be spending time at Westfield Infant School.
In December Mrs MacLauchlan, Mrs Leeson and Mrs Fox are planning a visit to India and are hoping to meet Gowri and our new sponsor student. It is hoped that these visits will help to further develop our partnership with schools in Puducherry.
