Thank you Assembly for John Fryer
This afternoon we had a very special assembly because it is the last time that John Fryer and Mr Scrappy will be coming to lead our assembly.
John and Mr Scrappy have been coming to Westfield Infant School every half term for over 20 years. He has shared stories from The Bible and important messages with hundreds of children. Everyone gets excited when they come into assembly and see John and Mr Scrappy so it was a little bit sad to be saying goodbye to them.
However we are all very pleased for John that he has got the opportunity to work in just one area and with a small group of schools. This means that Mr Scrappy will spend less time in the suitcase travelling from school to school.
Miss Hussey had written a special song and we sent John on his way with a new special friend a Westfield Bear to keep Mr Scrappy company!
