Soil Association Gold Accreditation
After school today Mrs MacLauchlan and Mrs Moore went to Leicester College for the Junior Chef Final. Mrs Coleman was actually in the kitchen supporting one of the finalists from a Burbage school.
During the event Westfield Infant School kitchen was awarded the Soil Association GOLD Award. This is a crucial part of the journey towards the school receiving the Food For Life GOLD Award.
It was a very interesting event and the 2 course meals that the young
chefs produced were fantastic.
The next step in the process will be for assessors to spend the day in school checking evidence, meeting pupils, staff and governors before they decide if Westfield Infant School can be awarded the Food For Life Gold Award. We will keep you informed!!
