Remembrance Day
In assembly today we learnt why we wear poppies. We watched a video about why we have a 2 minute silence at 11o'clock and understood that it is to remember the soldiers that have died in the First and Second World Wars as well as other wars since then.
Mr Harries reminded children that there will be events happening across Hinckley and beyond for Remembrance on Sunday as we also have a silence on the closest Sunday to the 11th of November.
