Pyjamarama Day

Today was very exciting as we all got to come to school in our Pyjamas!

We did this to celebrate Pyjamarama, organised by the Book Trust to help remind us how important bedtime stories are.

Like Book Trust  we want every child to experience the warmth, joy and comfort of bedtime reading. We don’t want a single child to miss out on the amazing benefits of reading together, because we know what a difference it makes to life chances.

We started the day by enjoying lots of great stories in our classrooms with our grown ups (who also came in their Pyjamas!).

During our Friday Assembly Mrs MacLauchlan reminded us about the importance of having a good bedtime routine, which should include a bedtime story to help us have a good nights sleep. Mrs MacLauchlan read us a story about different animals getting ready for bed.

Throughout the day we have enjoyed lots of different and exciting stories. Some children in Year 2 even went to different classes to read a story!

During the afternoon we had a visit from some Year 6 children from the Junior school who have been celebrating Pyjamarama day too! They came to read us some stories. How lucky were we!

We all had a great day and all loved being in our pyjamas at school!
