Junior Librarian Visit to Hinckley Library

This afternoon the Junior Librarians had the exciting opportunity to visit our Local Library in Hinckley.

We all sensibly walked to the library and arrived to meet the librarian, Emma.

Emma read us one of her favourite stories 'Oi Cat!' by Kes Gray.

We really enjoyed the story and even joined in with some parts.

After a story, Emma then showed us all around the children's section in the Library. We marched around each section to look at all the different books.

The Library have worked hard on making it such a nice place to go and choose and read lots of lovely books. We saw how all the books were organised and it looked so neat and tidy, just like our school library.

After we had looked around the library we then got to ask Emma some questions. The librarians asked some great questions like 'What is you favourite book?' and 'Why did you want to be a librarian?'

Emma was so impressed with the children's behaviour and even said they were the most well behaved group she has ever had visit the library! Well done Junior Librarians!

Emma let us know that on the first Monday in half term, Monday 14th October, they are having a Roald Dahl event where you can go and make lots of exciting things linked to all of the Roald Dahl books! The event is 10:30 - 12 pm and is only £1 per child.
