Grandparents Afternoon EYFS

What a fabulous start to the afternoon and end to a very short term! EYFS pupils in classes 1, 2, 3 and 7 welcomed their grandparents into school and shared with them the exciting activities they do. The children shared their learning about Julia Donaldson stories and their Stick Man trip to Beaumanor Hall in their year group assembly. Pupils shared their favourite stories and sang songs. They also shared some work which included how they have used their Stickman in maths to to measure and compare the height and weight of them. Every child has written a recount about their experiences on the trip and one of these was shared. Some children also held up paintings of their own family trees. The grandparents obviously loved the assembly as they spontaneously clapped and smiled throughout!

The children then had the opportunity to showcase their school and play with their grandparents in the trim trail, sensory trail, thinking garden, playground, back patio and even classrooms. What a delight it was to see the fun that everyone was having especially on such a beautiful summery day! Thank you for supporting us!
