Food For Life Silver Award Ceremony

Members of the School Nutrition Action Group (SNAG) had a fantastic time today celebrating achieving the Silver Food For Life Partnership Award! We visited Broom Leys Primary School for a fun packed including an awards ceremony where the children shared their top tip with other schools. Our pupils chose to tell everyone that they should all have a Healthy School Week! They told the other schools about some of their favourite activities including zumba sessions, gardening and having breakfast with their grown ups! The children spoke very well and made the grown ups proud!

After the ceremony we were treated to a lovely roast dinner for lunch. We enjoyed looking at the achievement wall which displayed posters from each school with photos of what they have been doing to achieve their Food For Life award. This gave us some great ideas for the future!

After lunch the children got to make their own pizza! This was lots of fun especially as they made faces with the vegetables! They learnt about how cheese was made and even had a little taster!
