This morning we had a very long and exciting assembly. We celebrated 6th and 7th Birthdays until 9th April and Certificates.

We had enjoyed watching a film showing chicks hatching as we came into assembly so we began with singing Spring Chicken.

It was then time for the Bonnet Parade so we sang the Easter bonnet song and after everyone who was wearing an Easter Bonnet joined in the Year Group Easter Bonnet Parade.

Mrs MacLauchlan reminded us about special days like next Sunday which will be Palm Sunday, next Friday which will be Good Friday and the Sunday after which will be Easter Sunday. We sang the song 'We have a King who Rides a Donkey'

All the children were very patient because it was then time for the WISA Easter Raffle. There were  some very happy winners.  A huge thank you to all the parents/carers and friends of Westfield who donated Easter eggs and other Easter treats for the hampers.

We sang a special song to Mrs Walsh who is leaving today to start a new job and we presented her with some gifts for her.

The assembly ended with everyone singing Yellow Daffodils.

Well done to all the children who made an Easter Bonnet or decorated an egg.
