Today Class 1 took some inspiration from some of the lovely Catherine Barr books they have been looking at and told us 10 things we might not know about Australia.
They showed us some amazing paintings of some of the sea creatures that live in the barrier reef. Can you name any?
After singing two songs about fishes, Mrs Wood told us that the first people to inhabit Australia were the Aborigines and some children showed us some of the fantastic dot pictures they had drawn.
Next we were treated to some Aboriginal music. We heard the strange and sometimes funny noises the instruments made. Which was your favourite?
Class 1 finished by singing 5 fish swim in the water so.
What a great assembly! Well done Class 1!
