Celebrating Queen Elizabeth's Record Breaking Reign

During today’s assembly, Mrs MacLauchlan asked the children if they knew why Wednesday 9th September was so special. Year 2 children recalled their knowledge of Her Majesty The Queen being our longest reigning Monarch. As part of our British Values work children were reminded that this is an important milestone since the reign of Queen Elizabeth’s great-great grandmother Queen Victoria. To mark this achievement of reigning for an incredible 63 years, Mrs MacLauchlan presented a rare commemorative coin to a little girl in Reception whose birthday was on 9th September.
