Year 1 Assembly
Year 1 enjoyed sharing lots of interesting facts that they had learned about the Wharf and Ashby Canal. Reception and Year 2 pupils and parents/carers were also treated to two songs, also a poem written by our very own poet Mrs Leeson! During the assembly pupils were also keen to share canal art and narrow boat names that they had created. At the end of the assembly pupils had the opportunity to thank Steve Burrows and Mrs Ratcliffe who had helped organise the exciting visits to the Wharf and the Marina.
After the assembly parents/carers had the opportunity to share all the interesting follow up work pupils have completed in their Wow Work folders and look at the fantastic canal displays in the classrooms.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who were able to attend and share in all the exciting learning that has taken place in Year 1 over the past few weeks.
