Year 1 Fire Safety
The Year 1 children all took part in a Fire Safety session that taught them about the dangers and risks that fire can cause. All the children were very engaged and impressed the local Fire Officer with their knowledge and sensible answers.
They learnt how to act when they are faced with certain dangers and events. STOP, DROP and ROLL was a technique taught and as you can see from the photos the children were able to practice this taught method. The children were also told when and how to crawl to find help or safety whilst shouting the word FIRE!
The Fire Safety Officer talked about fire alarms and smoke alarms and explained how important they are. Please can all the parent and carers check that your smoke alarms are working and up to date!
