Visiting an Orchestra

Yesterday some pupils had the chance to see and hear some instruments from an orchestra during a visit to Dorothy Goodmans.

We were introduced to lots of instruments, violins, a viola, a cello and a double bass.  The double bass was VERY big!  There was also a clarinet, a guitar, a trumpet and a instrument that looks a lot like the glockenspiels we have at Westfield Infant School but this one was much bigger and called a vibraphone.

We joined in with singing some songs and used our bees and planets when we listened to Flight of the Bumble Bee and Going into Space.
