We had a really interesting visitor on Tuesday afternoon. Elaine Cowley is a specialist in child development and is particularly interested in the links between physical development and children's academic skills. Following a talk in room 11 the parents were joined by the children and we played some very exciting games that were very energetic and involved rolling, pushing, pulling and balancing. It was great fun, the children loved batting balloons with fly swats. She gave us lots of ideas of how to get physical at home together. She has written a really practical book if anybody is interested we can give you the details. Look out for information if you are in EYFS because she is coming again in June during the evening, it really is a session not to miss!
